E1202 - пищевая добавка, загуститель, стабилизатор: поливинилполипирролидон, polyvinylpolypyrrolidone (Е1202)

Polyvinylpolypyrrolidone is a synthetic highly cross-linked polymer of Polyvinylpyrrolidone (PVP) that produces an odourless off-white to yellow powder that is insoluble in water. Although it is insoluble in water, it readily absorbs water and swells very rapidly. It is used as a stabiliser and fining agent (clarifier) in white wine, beer, ciders and vinegar, and also as a colour retention agent to stabilise colours.

Synthetic polymer. May cause damage to kidneys and stay in the system for up to a year. Avoid it.

Common Uses

Used in beer and malt beverages, white wine, cider and perry, concentrates for water-based flavoured drinks, dairy-base drinks, chewing gum, tabletop sweetener, surface treated fresh fruit, vinegars, cream, condensed milk, cheese (ripened, unripened, processed, and analogues), dairy based desserts, processed fruit, cereals, and more.
